A little bit about Kambrell’s background

Kambrell is a lifelong community advocate and organizer. From his first voter registration campaign at the age of 10 to his election to the SC House of Representatives at age 26, Kambrell has always fought to give his community a voice. He credits this passion to his struggles finding his own voice – literally – at age five, when he was diagnosed with a speech impediment. As he told WACH Fox 57 in an interview last year, managing a fluency disorder takes work, and Kambrell put the work in so he could overcome that challenge. In this way, his childhood weakness led to his overall strength: the ability to work hard, even when it’s hard, to get the outcome you want.

His work ethic and commitment to his community led Kambrell in different directions at a young age. Those experiences have provided him a unique perspective about justice, the law, and the need to be a strong voice for those who need an advocate the most. As a South Carolina public school teacher in Walterboro, SC, Kambrell helped institute a school science fair, and even led the sixth grade on their first ever overnight field trip. He worked tirelessly to ensure that his students got the resources they needed. He was active in the local community, too, proving that what affects one affects all.

Eventually, his passion to effect change on a wider scale led Kambrell to the study of law. His focus on plaintiffs’ personal injury, medical malpractice, and other forms of civil litigation allow him to continue the fight for justice for his clients, helping to ensure that their voices are heard.
